The great thing about Ford, they never stop with coming up with new products. The plan is to add a 2nd Generation Electric F-150 as soon as the 1st Generation hits the road. According to CEO, Jim Farley, the F-150's will be built at the upcoming 4th Ford plant in the US (BlueOval City). Farley didn't give many details about the 2nd Gen, but he did say it will be a new vehicle on an entire new platform and will also be full sized. Farley went on to say that he thinks the 2nd Gen will do quite well, seeing that there has been well over 200k reservations for the 1st series (which is 2 to 3 times more than Ford expected). Feels it will have the same, if not more interest from customers than the Gen 1 received.

The Blue Oval has its foot on the accelerator pedal when it comes to EVs and doesn't plan to let up. Farley has intentions to slot in behind Tesla as the US' number two EV maker by 2024, and a big part of that comes with the F-150 Lightning and E-Transit launches next spring.

This should be quite exciting being that the Gen 1 isn't even out yet!!
